'And We have sent no Messenger but that he be obeyed by the command of Allah. And if they had come to thee when they had wronged themselves and asked forgiveness of Allah and the Messenger had asked forgiveness for them they would surely have found Allah Oft-Accepting, Merciful. But nay by thy Lord they are not believers until they make thee judge in all matters in dispute between them and then find not in their hearts any demur concerning your decision and submit themselves totally. And if We had commanded them 'Lay down your lives or leave your homes' they would not have done it except for a few of them; and if they had done what they are exhorted to do it would surely have been better for them and conducive to greater strength.' 'And We have sent no Messenger but that he be obeyed by the command of Allah.' Every Messenger has been obeyed by the command of Allah. Prophet Adam was obeyed by the command of Allah otherwise Adam had no standing of his own. The Holy Prophet ﷺ has another cause for precedence aside of this one and that is that Allah Almighty has made him to wear the mantle of the Master. This is because the Master has more rights when making a decision. Even if he does not point to any specific revelation his decision will still be considered to be the decision of Allah and a specific decision does not necessitate that a revelation be sent and all decisions of the Holy Prophet ﷺ are through the mantle of the Master which Allah Almighty has granted him.
